Sunday Mornin’ Inspiration

What a glorious mornin’ we had, and with the sunshine warmin’ things up, we were able to open the doors wide  without shiverin’ in cold! God surely blessed us today! Don’tcha just love it when the band plays a series of songs that just get you right in the heart? That is exactly what they delivered today!

Around the Kampfire this mornin’, Brother Thomas spoke to the kiddos about what it means to be branded by God and what it means to be ridin’ for that brand. When we ride for the brand we ride out to find and reach God’s lost sheep. In Kid’s Kountry, the lesson was Sittin’ on the Feed of Jesus, in which the feed is the bible, and as Christians, we need it to survive like our body needs healthy food to grow!

Pastor Bob spoke this mornin’ about Partnerships, and regaled us with stories and examples of his favorite movie and book, Lonesome Dove. The partners in that story didn’t often agree on anythin’ dealin’ with their Hat Creek Cattle company, and Captain Call and Captain McCray often argued over what was and was not best.
In our lives, God wants to be our partner, but not a 50/50 arrangement. He wants to be the senior partner.  In  Psalms 127:1-2  it says “If the Lord doesn't build the house, the builders are working for nothing. If the Lord doesn't guard the city, the guards are watching for nothing. It is no use for you to get up early and stay up late, working for a living. The Lord gives sleep to those he loves.” In this passage, God is tellin’ us that we should seek Him, and listen to what he is tellin’ us, but not only that, to let Him guide us in the way we should go. There are three things shown here. First, God wants to be in charge of our responsibilities. Second, we need to know that giving God our responsibilities does not relieve us of those responsibilities. Third, our givin’ up on responsibilities to God gives us the key to findin’ peace. God wants to be in charge of our lives because He knows that His way is best. Askin’ Him to bless the things that you decide to do on your own will not have the same result, and not only that, it will not bring honor and glory to God. That is our purpose here, to do as He asks, and to bring honor and glory to him by reachin’ out to those around us. So when God asks you to “Partner Up”, what are you gonna do??

Lot’s of goin’s on are comin’ up in the Ridin’ High community. Check out the website at www.ridinghighcc.com. Better yet, just come on down and join us on, Mondays Ladies Bible study, Wednesday, and Sundays.  If you don’t mind a little dirt, Y’all come on and see what church can be, Cowboy style.
