-- BULLETIN --
THE ARENA TEAM BROUGHT LIGHTS AND POLES HOME.
POLES GO UP MARCH 3: WE'LL SOON HAVE ARENA LIGHTS FOR NIGHT-RIDIN'!

The Arena Team Light Crew brought our lights and poles
home to Ridin' High from Waxahachie.
Clay Allison, Bob Ferguson, Danny Ferguson,
Craig Kalley, Ron Stewart and Al Thomason
left to go after them at 7:30 on Saturday, October 1,
with a rented skytrak forklift.

Ron took these photographs of the event and supplied the story.

Clay was kind enough to donate his trailer to haul it.
Bob drove another trailer down to carry the poles and lights.

TiltToProtectSideDeckTire

The skytrak, tilted on its trailer to
protect the right-side deck tire.

On the way down there were no problems. Once there, Danny,
Al and Craig climbed up and wrapped chain around the poles.
Then Clay pulled them out of the ground with the skytrak.
There were no injuries, and they lost only one light!

On the way back, the skytrak was riding heavier on the
right side of its trailer than on the left, causing the trailer tires
to rub the trailer bed -- and blue smoke was pouring from the
tires on the right!  They moved the skytrak to another position
on the trailer, but to no avail.  It kept rubbing.  Then someone
suggested tilting the skytrak to one side.  Bingo!  It worked;
no more rubbing.  It sure looked funny, though,
maybe even scary to oncoming drivers.

Overall, it was a successful job -- and now we have lights!
The next steps will be to drill the holes, put them up, and
set them in the ground.  We'll connect them to our
electricity -- and we'll have a lighted arena!

If the weather looks doubtful, always call before you haul!

Please check back for more events coming soon!
